Journey honours the unique and fragile beginnings of life and the care that supports families as they move forward with strength and hope.

Surrey Hospitals Foundation’s 9th annual Celebration of Care Gala, presented by Berezan and EllisDon, is returning on February 28, 2026, at the Aria Banquet and Conference Centre in Surrey, B.C.

This signature fundraising event brings together community leaders, philanthropists and health care champions for an unforgettable evening in support of families at one of life’s most important moments.

This event would not be possible without the generosity of our sponsors and partners. Thank you for your dedication and leadership in helping ensure that families receive the care, comfort, and support they need on their journey.

The Cause

A journey is not a straight line. It is an ongoing cycle of movement, change, discovery, and renewal. Every journey into parenthood begins differently and is shaped by choice, circumstance, and compassion. Some begin with celebration, others with uncertainty, but each deserves thoughtful, expert care.

Funds raised will support the Women, Children & Youth Pillar of Care, expanding the wraparound care that helps parents, newborns, and families begin their journeys with confidence and support.

This year’s gala will directly support the following areas of care:

Mata Tripta Family Birthing Unit (FBU)

Support for the Mata Tripta Family Birthing Unit focuses on enhancing comfort and safety for mothers and newborns, upgrading essential equipment to better support labour and delivery, and expanding culturally sensitive care to ensure families from diverse backgrounds feel respected, supported, and understood throughout their birthing experience.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

Investment in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit helps provide life-saving technology for premature and critically ill babies, supports family-centred care and bonding during extended hospital stays, and improves outcomes through highly specialized neonatal care and expertise.

Research and Innovation in Maternal-Fetal Health

Funding for research and innovation advances early diagnosis and treatment for high-risk pregnancies, supports clinical research that strengthens care for future generations, and drives new approaches in prenatal and postnatal care across the region.
