Every year since 2013, the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy gives out the High Performers award to organizations in the top 25% of net fundraising revenue based on the data obtained from their Report on Giving.
This year, Surrey Hospitals Foundation was recognized as a High Performer in the Community Hospital Category. This broad category incorporates a range of hospitals, including what we classify as community hospitals, but also regional hospitals that serve communities outside their immediate area, like Surrey Memorial does.
With our community’s generous donations, Surrey Hospitals Foundation is able to provide support and funding for three important health care facilities here in Surrey: Surrey Memorial Hospital, Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgery Centre, and Czorny Alzheimer Centre.
Focused on providing unstoppable care from birth to end-of-life, our Foundation works to support health care services that change lives in Western Canada’s youngest and fastest growing city. As well as standard patient care, the facilities we fund provide essential services, including:
- Acute and ongoing mental health care for children, adolescents and adults
- World-class surgical procedures
- Canada’s first Neonatal Intensive Care Unit with a neonatal and pediatric pharmacy
- A Mental Health and Substance Use Urgent Care Response Centre
- BC’s first Biocontainment Treatment Centre
A big congratulations to the other hospitals across Canada and the United States who were also recognized in this category!
